About us

We are a young and dynamic company, dedicated exclusively to the beekeeping activity, in the region of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro since 2011. Currently, we have about 1,000 hives spread throughout the northeast of Portugal, from the arid and dry regions of the Parque do Douro Internacional to the cold lands of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, passing through Sabrosa, land of the Great Navigator Fernão Magalhães, the place where our facility is located.

What we do

Our products are processed with dedication, both in preparation and presentation, with consumer health being one of our main concerns. We produce swarms of bees, honey, pollen, propolis, beeswax… We hold beekeeping days and courses every year.

Parking conditions

We have 4 parking spaces overlooking the Douro region.

Timetable

Open Monday to Sunday from 10a.m. to 6p.m.. Book at least 48 hours in advance.

Experiences

We have different experiences (prices and conditions on request):

  • Visit the bees
  • Beeswax Candles Workshop
  • Tasting of hive products (honey, pollen, honeycomb…)
  • “Being a beekeeper for a day” is a kind of beekeeping baptism. Duration 1.5 – 2 hours. Includes a protective suit and gloves, a visit to the apiary with real hives full of bees and a tasting of our products.

To discover nearby

Located 28 km from Pinhão and 18 km from Vila Real, be sure to visit the Palace of Mateus and taste the famous francesinhas; take a walk around Sabrosa and see the house of “Fernão Magalhães” and the mamoas and tapirs of Garganta (Archaeological Pole of Garganta); if you like reading you can visit the museum of the well-known Portuguese writer “Miguel Torga” in São Martinho de Anta and enjoy the views of the Douro at the viewpoint of São Leonardo de Galafura!
