Olive Oil Museum has the pleasure of inviting you to visit their property and stay overnight in your motorhome at their facilities. After purchasing your product pack, you are welcome at the museum store to check-in, and be filled in on the rules you should respect throughout your visit.
The Museum of Olive Oil appears on a small elevation over the ancient Roman ruins of Bobadela (Oliveira do Hospital). In front of it stands, the imposing Serra da Estrela, an icon of Beira region. It was based on a knowledge that goes beyond 30 years of direct contact with the world of olives and oil that António Dias, Bobadelense born and raised, and his closest family, dreamed of a museum built from scratch. After sharing with the architect Vasco Teixeira, he idealized a building in the shape of an olive branch, where one easily dives into time while traveling through olives and giant leaves.
The Olive Oil Museum is an innovative, differentiating and interactive space, which aims to leave its tourist mark in the Region. A Museum whose mission is to preserve specific knowledge and secular pieces of a common identity. Within this complex is located the Olea restaurant, where you can taste the fabulous olive oil produced by the owner, and finally, enjoy the typical dishes of the region.
