Ervideira has the pleasure of inviting you to visit their property and stay overnight in your motorhome at their facilities. After purchasing your product pack, you are welcome at the winery store to check-in, and be filled in on the rules you should respect throughout your visit.
During your visit, buying a box of 6 bottles of any of our wines, we offer 1 bottle of Bio-Nature, the wine from Ervideira made in Organic Agriculture.
The history of Ervideira dates back to the year of 1880, when wine production began in Évora by the hands of illustrious Count D’ervideira, commended by King D. Carlos I of Portugal for his contribution to his social work in the region.
Ervideira was never afraid of taking risks and exploring new territories:
2000-First Night Harvest
2002-Beginning of sparkling wine production. We are currently the largest sparkling wine producer in the Alentejo
2009-First production and certification of a white wine from a red grape, the “Invisível”
2015-The first to store and mature wines submerged at a depth of 30 meters, in the great Alqueva Lake, in order to create the “Vinho da Água” wines
We make wines with character, structure, robustness and complexity, combining elegance, softness, delicacy and subtlety – characteristics of the Count D’ervideira himself!
The harvest takes place during the night, when there is no sun exposure and the temperatures are lower, allowing the grapes to maintain their properties. In the cellar, the wines begin the fermentation process in stainless steel vats, then the maturation process in oak barrels, of French and Hungarian origins.
By the church with a panoramic view of the Alentejo landscape.
Open everyday, from 10a.m. to 7p.m. Bookings for the same day should be made no later than 2 p.m.
The unique characteristics that the Alentejo possesses make Alentejo Wine’s a mystical and incomparable nectar. Through a relaxed environment, Ervideira offers you a selection of great moments (prices and conditions on request):
Next to the Ervideira winery, there is S.Vicente do Pigeiro sanctuary, a place with wonderful views. From here you can see from Serra do Mendro to Serra D’Ossa, with truly extraordinary day and night views, and where time and quiet have another value.
Less than 20 km from the winery, is the graceful medieval village of Monsaraz, made of lime and shale, perhaps one of the most beautiful and best preserved pearls in the world, truly not to be missed.
Welcome!
