About us

We are a family business that has been dedicated to beekeeping for over a century.
With the same passion that moved grandfather Jorge de Almeida Lima 5 generations ago, we cultivate and preserve the knowledge and flavors of an ancestral activity that respects Nature and integrates it perfectly.

What we do

Euromel has been producing Serramel honey since 1974. The Honey, Pollen and Propolis Serramel, are produced by bees in Portugal and bring simple and pure Nature to you. Our honey is extracted from the combs by traditional processes. Pollen is collected from pollen hunters and carefully dried and sanitized in our facilities. In 2004, we created Beirabaga Sweets and Almonds, products made in a traditional way, with the best quality Portuguese fruit and using the most modern production techniques.

Parking conditions

We have two parking spaces next to our factory overlooking the Serra da Gardunha and surrounding Beira nature.

Timetable

Open from Monday to Friday from 8.30a.m. to 5.30p.m. Closed on public holidays. Bookings for the same day should be made no later than 2 p.m.

Experiences

We have different experiences (prices and conditions on request) which may be temporarily suspended:

  • Tasting different types of honey
  • Apicultural visit to Serra da Malcata
  • Thematic visit to the factory on Bee Production (extraction of honey and drying of pollen – seasonal)
