About us

Located in the heart of the Vilariça Valley, in the heart of north-eastern Trás-os-Montes, Quinta do Barracão da Vilariça offers the best of Trás-os-Montes hospitality, combining comfort, authenticity and tranquillity. Serving travellers as an inn on the royal road between Bragança and Lisbon, since 1850.

What we do

It is on this land, which is healthy, that we practise organic and sustainable agriculture. Our herd of churra cattle from the warm land of Trás-os-Montes graze, producing quality meat and milk. From this healthy land is born the liquid gold, pure olive oil that irrigates our soul and the centenary almond trees that coexist with more recent plantations. In this healthy land, vineyards of the Douro demarcated region arise and here the transmontan lands marry with the Douro highlands. This is how we produce high quality products that are at your disposal.
